Using Speedra

Why does Speedra show a different speed from my car?

Speedra estimates your ground speed using GPS. Your vehicle measures speed differently, so the readings may vary. GPS reception and your surroundings can also affect the result.

How do I turn on Live Activity?

Tap the bolt icon on the main speedometer screen. Your speed will appear on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, in the Dynamic Island. Tap the icon again to turn it off.

How does HUD mode work?

HUD mode mirrors the speed readout so its reflection appears the right way round on your windshield at night. Enable it in Speedra’s settings and position your phone securely on the dashboard before you start driving.

Can I use Speedra without internet?

Yes. GPS speed tracking does not need mobile data or Wi-Fi. You still need a GPS signal for speed readings.

How can I improve GPS reception?

Allow Speedra to use Location Services in your device settings. GPS works best with a clear view of the sky; tunnels and tall buildings can weaken reception. Give the app a few moments to find a signal before setting off.

Purchases and subscriptions

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Speedra’s settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re using the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase. If it still doesn’t appear, email us with a description of the issue.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Apple manages Speedra subscriptions:

  1. Open your device’s Settings app.
  2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select Speedra.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Deleting Speedra does not cancel your subscription. A lifetime purchase has no recurring charge to cancel.
